How did you end up in this field?
I lived a masculinized life as a producer in LA for many years until I was in pain. I walked into my fancy production office and spoke to the little girl inside. When I couldn’t take the pain anymore, I resigned and went to grad school to study psychology through the lens of Carl Jung.
This helped me look at my relationship history debacles and bring a nurturing lens of self-compassion. I saw the beliefs around men from generations before me. They had influenced how I related to men. I began to transform how I saw men and my relationship with them.
Why do you think so many women feel unfulfilled in their romantic relationships?
So many women misunderstand men. They use feminized qualities to describe men, which is disrespectful. We need to understand masculine nature so we don’t end up disappointed and frustrated.
One of the deepest healing paths for those seeking romantic relationships is to begin a path of spiritual repair with the masculine nature. Discern their beliefs and begin to understand men.
What are some of the qualities of masculine nature?
What motivates a man is different from what motivates a woman (with some exceptions). Masculine nature is oriented towards benevolent leadership inside relationships and family structure. Non-egoic. Masculine gifting. His value is determined by imposing their goodness onto the world. Men are gifted with seeing the big picture. The feminine feels things.
What do you want women to understand about the power of their feminine nature?
Women have the power to step more fully into their true feminine nature, and that’s how they can attract a man with a masculine energy. This is about vulnerability and receptivity. It’s about letting go of the instinct to control situations. It’s about loving our bodies. Love being a woman who can be seen and felt as a woman who loves her body and self.
It’s about being present in the beauty of being a woman.
What’s the difference between being great at being a woman vs. being a great woman?
A great woman is about being great in your feminine. Don’t give up your accomplishments and your amazingness, but don’t perform and earn love. Bring your feminine nature, your vulnerability, your feelings to your relationships with men.
What are your final words of advice for anyone who wants to go on their last first date?
Have fun. Be in your joy, in your body, notice what feels good to you. Be in your body instead of your head.
